A Suite of Games Designed for Multiplication
Matching Game
This game reinforces the symmetry of the multiplication table and the commutative property of multiplication. Check out the prototype created by my amazing classmate Michael Duong!
Fill in the Blank
Students use patterns on the multiplication table to fill in missing numbers.
Corral It!
Students draw a rectangle corresponding to a playing card they draw from a deck. This helps them associate the rows and columns in an array with expressions and products.
Grid Game: Expressions
This game adds elements of strategy and intrigue as players try to outsmart each other by placing playing pieces on the board corresponding to the rows and columns of a multiplication expression. Their points are equal to the product of their numbers!
